§ 26-43. Public notice required.

Prior to billing for contractual waste collection services, a notice setting forth the charges shall be given in a newspaper of general circulation in the town not less than ten days prior to the effective date of the charges. In addition, such charges shall be established in a public meeting and shall be a part of the published agenda of the town council meeting at which charges are established or adjusted. Property owners shall be given written notice of their periodic assessment no less than 30 days prior to the due date of the payment.
