§ 30-79. Ticketing of offending vehicles.

  • (a)

    The chief of police shall, subject to the strictures imposed in this article, post signs and devices relating to the limitations upon parking at particular places. Penalties in the amount as fixed from time to time by the council shall be imposed by placing a ticket upon any offending vehicle.

    (b)

    The ticket amount shall be the only penalty imposed if such amount is paid in valid funds at the town hall within the time prescribed on the ticket. Failure to pay such amount within the prescribed time, however, shall subject the owner to be summoned to municipal court and to be punished within its discretion, subject to its jurisdictional limits.

    (c)

    Automotive vehicles or trailers of any kind or type without current license plates shall not be parked on any street.
