§ 22-105. Use of fireworks.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to fire, shoot or discharge any fireworks (with the exception of "safe and sane" fireworks shall be defined as those fireworks which are neither projectile nor explosive such as sparklers, snaps, smokeballs, fountains, and snakes) of any description within the town limits with the exception of the following occasions:

    July 4 th between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 (midnight); and December 31 st between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on January 1 st .

    (b)

    The sale of fireworks within the town shall be allowed pursuant to the S.C. Code 1976, §§ 23-335-10—23-335-170 and in accordance with the town zoning ordinance.
