§ 3-17. Skilled nursing care facilities in RS districts.

When located in an RS District, Skilled Nursing Care facilities shall meet the following additional development standards.
a.

Minimum lot area shall be not less than two acres.

b.

Not less than 25 percent of the project site shall be landscaped in accord with the requirements of Section 4-3.

c.

A Type-B buffer area shall be provided along side and rear lot lines in accord with the requirements of Section 4-1.

d.

Trash receptacles shall be oriented away and screened from adjacent residential uses in accord with the requirements of Section 4-2.

e.

The facility shall be approved and certified by DHEC.

f.

Buildings and structures shall be residentially designed with pitch roofs and overhangs.

g.

Access to facility must be from a roadway used predominately for commercial purposes.
